BDNA and InQuisient Partner to Demonstrate Increased IT Asset Visibility, Enriched Enterprise Architecture, New Cybersecurity Planning Capability

New Partnership Provides Ability to Show True Status of Deployed Technology on Customers’ Networks

MOUNTAIN VIEW, Calif., and RESTON, Va. – Oct. 27, 2016 – BDNA®, the leader in creating the most authoritative enterprise technology data, and InQuisient, a premiere provider of enterprise architecture and IT portfolio management solutions, have partnered in an effort to improve customers’ visibility into IT ecosystems for improved cybersecurity. Through this partnership, InQuisient’s customers will see the power of BDNA, whose solutions, including Technopedia®, can be combined with InQuisient’s Platform for enterprise data management.

The combined capabilities would provide InQuisient’s customers with the ability to see the true status of the deployed technology on their networks, enabling a clear, updated overview of the organization’s IT assets and providing the information needed for better decision-making. This solution will also allow for more comprehensive cybersecurity planning.

InQuisient’s browser-based platform collects all Enterprise Data in one place, and enables one seamless view of information for the C-Suite – from the organization’s Enterprise Architecture to IT Portfolio Management – enabling business transformation at the speed of your mission. The InQuisient platform puts users in control, providing advanced visualization for real-time health assessments and decision making. InQuisient has thousands of users across government enterprises, including the Department of Defense (DoD) and the Intelligence Community, and is helping these customers manage billions of dollars in single instances.

“We are very excited about partnering with BDNA,” said Scott Dixon Smith, CEO of InQuisient. “By demonstrating the unique benefits of InQuisient with the extensive power of BDNA technology, government organizations will now be able to see how they may identify vulnerabilities faster and with greater confidence, enabling better decision-making.”

Beyond marrying inventory data with end-of-life information, BDNA correlates data with National Institute of Standards and Technology’s (NIST) National Vulnerability Database, showing the relative risk posture of all desktops, servers and operating systems. This enables the prioritization of remediation, by showing high, medium and low severity vulnerabilities with scores from the Common Vulnerability Scoring System (CVSS), including NIST’s suggested remedies.

The addition of the NIST data correlated with a government organization’s systems data and InQuisient’s Platform has the ability to create a new cybersecurity dashboard that can be integrated into agencies’ cybersecurity planning.

“InQuisient equips government agencies with the information needed to improve data-driven decision-making,” said Clark Campbell, vice president for the public sector at BDNA. “BDNA Technopedia allows government agencies to identify vulnerabilities that pose risk, and help them make smart and timely decisions about their IT resources.”

BDNA Technopedia makes IT portfolio management faster and easier by providing consistent and accurate information about IT assets. Technopedia is the world’s largest, most comprehensive repository of market intelligence on enterprise software and hardware. This constantly updated library categorizes more than 1.7 million products from more than 34,000 suppliers, providing important information such as compatibility, support dates, end-of life (EOL) dates, migration plans, CPE/CVE/CVSS values, current manufacturer and version, Windows 7/8/10 compatibility, power consumption and CPU core info. BDNA has numerous federal clients represented by its more than 50 Sole Source awards.

Campbell will be speaking about the capabilities of BDNA and Technopedia at InQuisient’s Annual Users Educational Forum on Oct. 27, 2016, at the Hyatt Regency Tysons Corner Center in Virginia.
